La Couronne Hotel & Spa - Zermatt

Would recommend for a weekend jaunt

Comfortable room, fine views, the cozy balcony allowed us to soak in the amazing scenery of the Matterhorn, and the hearty breakfast was so great, with a good selection of Swiss breakfast meats.

Nothing could be improved.

We loved the hotel and wished we had been able to stay longer.The hotel was quiet and located on the edge of town, but still only an easy 10 min walk from main railway station and the Materhorn rail and a couple of minutes from the centre of Zermatt. Our room was large,bright ( but had block out curtains) and had a superb view of the Materhorn. It was extremely comfortable and had a large modern bathroom. The breakfast selection was large. The staff were friendly and helpful as well as accomodating. Pick up from the railway station was E15 in an electric taxi and took a few minutes.

The only minor issue was the use of a quilt and bottom sheet- no blankets or top sheet. We fully appreciate this is European, but meant either we were hot or cold.

The seating area downstairs near reception was uncomfortable. Sofas & coffee tables would provide a nice relaxing place to sit after dinner. Other than going to your room, there were no relaxing areas to sit. Othere hotels in Zermatt provide this.

The rooftop heated outdoor pool was a highlight, and enjoying complementary afternoon tea with stunning Matterhorn views was a lovely touch during our stay.

The really helpful staff accommodated all the needs The breakfast was reasonably good and lovely with view on the Matterhorn, and all the food was brilliant🙂

Thoroughly enjoyable overall experience. Ideal place with efficient staff and very good wi-fi. Airy guest room with views of mountain. Terrific services. Fast check-in, magnificent location close to the restaurant. Also, very near the bus stop.

Enjoyed the spacious junior suite with fine Matterhorn views. Wish the pool had longer hours .

This was the most wonderful hotel with a fabulous balcony to our room overlooking the town and the Matterhorn. Service was fabulous. Would certain ly stay here again.

My room has a good view of the Matterhorn. Location is just nice with a 5-10 mins walk to the main street of Zermatt, quiet and cozy.

My room was perfect -501- small but very quiet - the quality of the bed was excellent

View of Matterhorn is nice from the terrace.

It would have been more convenient if the room has hot water pot for coffee or tea. (Hotels in Switzerland seemed not to have these appliances -hot water pot, frige- in the room usually though.)

I loved how this hotel is just a few steps away from Old Zermatt and a short stroll to the Matterhorn Museum, great for seamless exploration of the charming streets, shops, and local restaurants . The amazing views of the Matterhorn from my room made every morning an absolute treat while sipping my coffee.

Coffee/tea makers, a sitting area and a work desk in the room, magnificent location. Great service and a very accommodating restaurant, available onsite👍
